Major Unrest and Violence with Haiti:

I am sure everyone is aware of the major unrest & violence in Haiti that followed the weeks prior to the Haitian President Aristide's resignation and immediately after. 

There are currently U.S. Marines and French troops in Haiti attempting to bring law and order and stop the mass looting.

We currently have only sporadic communications with our mission in Gonaives, Haiti as this is the center of much of the early violence.

February 2004 Aid Campaign:

Our February Aid Shipment was delayed due to the unrest within Haiti.  While the need for assistance is even greater with the disruption of all services, it currently is not safe to have our mission workers retrieve shipments.  Our hopes are that, with the assistance of the American & French Troops, sufficient law & order can be obtained allowing for a substantial shipment in late March or early April.

November Shipment Arrives just in time for Christmas:

Our November Aid Campaign arrived onsite at the Mission in Gonaives, Haiti during Christmas week.  The shipment included nearly 2 tons of food supplies and badly needed school equipment.

The HairColorXperts Salon located in the Columbia Mall in Columbia MD. will sponsor a Hair "Cut-a-thon" in early spring.  All proceeds for that day will go towards helping the poor of Haiti.
